9:00 departure from L’Aquila to Sulmona, the native city of Ovidio, known worldwide for the secular tradition in the productions of confetti, walk through the characteristic streets of the center colored by a thousand compositions of confetti. Tasting in a shop. Visit the Pelino museum, visit the headquarters of the factory of confetti where it is possible to admire a large exhibition of ancient machines used for the production and the reconstruction of a confetti workshop of the 18th century.

13:00 optional lunch in a typical restaurant and departure for Pacentro, the natural entrance and heart of the Majella National Park, dominated bu Caldora Castle, with its three squared tower of the XIV century and its three rounded towers of the XV century which stand out on the surrounding landscape. Built to protect the village and Peligna Valley too, the castle dominates the entire village which is an intricate succession of houses and roofs till the top of the hill. It si possible to visit the tiny peasant museum.
