1° day

Morning arrival in Atri and visit of the WWF oasis of the Calanchi, also called "Bolge dantesche”. These are the most evocative and spectacular forms of the Adriatic hilly landscape, real natural sculptures similar to the moon landscape and the most popular American canyons.

13:00 free time for lunch at a restaurant in the village and walking tour through the streets of the old town. The cathedral retains an important medieval fresco painting considered among the largest in Abruzzo.

16:00 check-in barrell house, characteristic accommodation in wooden barrels. Wine tasting with the best wine of the estate, an experience through Teramo’s hills to discover the traditional hospitality of Abruzzo.

20:00 dinner in an ‘800 century inn with a typical dishes menu.

2° day

9:00 traditional breakfast and departure for Civitella del Tronto, one of the most beautiful village in Italy, and optional tour of the majestic fortress considered as one of the biggest and most important European military engineering works. Characterized by an elliptical shape, from here it is possible to admire a stunning landscape starting from the ancient village below with its characteristic fort-houses, stretching till Gran Sasso, Laga, Majella and Twins mountains and reaching the Adriatic sea. The site is mainly known for being the last strong hold of the Kingdom of the two Sicilies which surrendered to Piedmont in 20 march 1861, three days before the coronation of the Italian King Vittorio Emanuele II. Walking through the "ruetta", the narrowest street in Italy! 13:00 optional lunch in a famous restaurant in the city center, housed in an elegant palace of ‘600 and departure.
